EFNOTE/Artesia Pro’s path changed course in July 2021, when we received a call at our US headquarters from a very proud, even flabbergasted father of a then 14 year old Canadian drummer, who was experiencing her first wave of social media virology, along her brother Ghost Face, with her stable of simply produced drum covers on YouTube and Instagram, (and newcomer platform, TikTok). She went by Rocker Girl.
This conversation with her father (and newly appointed manager) was inspired and full of mutual admiration, as we were a new company who’s products had only begun shipping months before, but were creating a large ground-level buzz, with our in house Play-Through videos, as well as live-casted interactive demo/interview videos with legends like Steve Ferrone, Tris Imboden and John Paris, entitled A Convo With Legends, hosted by our then Product Specialist / Drum Expert, Michael Bedard.
The fact that this father had the largest e-drum companies in the world pursuing relationships with his superstar offspring, but was reaching out to pursue a relationship with us, spoke volumes. We acted fast, shipping RG a brand new (yet to be on the market) EFNOTE 5X drum set. She seamlessly transitioned from acoustic to electronic percussion without missing a beat (b’dum-pum!), incorporating EFNOTE into her signature content. So exponential in fact, that Rocker Girl has now amassed 2.1 million followers on TikTok, 430K followers on Instagram, 630K subscriptions on YouTube, picked up a coveted Sabian endorsement and was nominated by the drumming world’s juggernaut platform, DRUMEO, as TIKTOK DRUMMER OF THE YEAR in the DRUMEO Awards!
Rocker Girl is evolving as we speak, and now at 17 years old, has branded her face mask, stick flips and penchant for all things Rock/Metal/Punk into permanence, while keeping her identity mysterious, a-la KISS.
